Archbishop Justin Welby

The prize celebrates the most promising contemporary theological writing from the global Church. In spring 2015 over 100 people nominated the best new theological books published during 2012 2014.

Our team of readers will be busy over the summer reading all nominations and making their recommendations for the shortlist.

After our first shortlisting meeting in September all of the books that are recommended for shortlisting will be read again by a different member of the reading team during the autumn.

The shortlist, and the panel of judges, will be announced at The Bloxham Festival of Faith and Literature on Saturday 20th February 2016. The judges will announce the winner at the Greenbelt Festival 26-29 August 2016.
